Chainsaw Operations, Tool Training, CPR/First Aid, Rope Application & Gear Inspection – Climbing and Rigging
Throughout this course, we will cover essential skills and techniques necessary for safe and efficient tree work. Participants will gain hands-on experience in chainsaw operations, focusing on proper handling, maintenance, precision cutting, felling, bucking, and limbing to ensure safety and efficiency in the field.
In addition, the course will cover tool training, CPR/First Aid, rope application, and gear inspection, providing a well-rounded understanding of critical safety practices. Attendees will learn proper equipment use, life-saving emergency response techniques, and essential climbing and rigging methods. Whether it’s mastering chainsaw operations, improving rigging techniques, or ensuring compliance with industry safety standards, this training covers it all.
*All climbing gear and PPE must pass gear inspection to use.

Day 1: Chainsaw Operations
- Proper chainsaw handling and maintenance

Day 2: Tool Training, CPR/First Aid, Rope Application & Gear Inspection – Climbing and Rigging
- Hands-on training with essential tools used in tree work
- CPR and First Aid training for emergency response
- Rope application techniques and knot configurations
- Gear inspection and maintenance for safety compliance
- Climbing techniques for efficient and secure tree access
- Rigging fundamentals for controlled tree removal and load management

Gear
- Required (PPE) Personal Protective equipment: ie footwear (boots), helmet, work attire, safety glasses, and ear protection
- Personal climbing gear is optional and must pass gear inspection prior to use.
