2 Day Hands-on class

CPR, First-Aid, Electrical Hazard Awareness & Climbing Operations

Throughout this course, we will cover essential life-saving techniques, safety practices, and climbing operations to enhance your skills and preparedness in the field. On Day 1, participants will receive comprehensive CPR and First-Aid training, along with Electrical Hazard Awareness (EHAP), providing critical knowledge for recognizing and avoiding electrical risks while working aloft.

Day 2 will focus on Climbing Operations, where participants will develop proper climbing techniques, body positioning, and gear management. This hands-on training is designed to build confidence and competence for safe tree access and work positioning. Whether you are new to climbing or looking to refine your skills, this course provides a well-rounded approach to safety and efficiency.

*All climbing gear and PPE must pass gear inspection to use.

Class Training Topics

Day 1: CPR, First-Aid & Electrical Hazard Awareness (EHAP)

  • American Heart Association CPR & First-Aid Certification
  • Electrical Hazard Awareness Program (EHAP) – Identifying and avoiding electrical risks
  • Emergency response planning and risk mitigation strategies
  • Best practices for working safely around electrical hazards
  • Best practices for efficient work positioning

Day 2: Climbing Operations Techniques & Safety

  • Essential climbing techniques and proper body positioning
  • Safe and efficient use of climbing gear and equipment
  • Advanced movement methods for tree access and work positioning
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification
  • Safety protocols and best practices for working aloft

*Only 30 Hands-On spots available per class *No experience required

Gear

  • Required (PPE) Personal Protective equipment: ie footwear (boots), helmet, work attire, safety glasses, and ear protection
  • Personal climbing gear is optional and must pass gear inspection prior to use.
