OSHA 10/30 Safety Workshop (Tree Industry Context)
Academy Trained, the tree industry leader in hands-on technical training, has partnered with an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer to offer highly interactive OSHA 10 & 30 courses delivered in a tree Care Industry context. This workshop spans 5 days and includes opportunities to complete either an OSHA 10 or an OSHA 30 and receive your respective General Industry DOL Cards, CEUs, and a Certificate of Training from Academy Trained.
Note: Students MUST be present and for all instructor contact hours.

*CEUs Available (Most organizations grant 1 CEU per Hour – OSHA 10 is a 2 day training with a minimum of 10 full instructor contact hours and OSHA 30 is a 5 day event with a minimum of 30 full instructor contact hours
***Students will receive their DOL Card and a Certificate of Training from Academy Trained.
Event Parking
On street parking only. Additional instructions for parking will be emailed to participants prior to the event. There is plenty of parking in the area. However, please arrive in plenty of time to find a spot and walk to the training. Signs and directions will be posted. Lock your vehicle and remove all valuables.
Tree Industry Context:
This training is presented in a tree care industry context with elective and optional topics focusing on tree care industry hazards and controls. For students employed in the tree care industry, studying this material within the context of your world of work significantly enhances subject matter retention and transfer of skills back to the job.
Open to All Industries:
Although this training is presented in a tree industry context, enrollment is not limited to the tree care or adjacent industries. Any individual desiring an OSHA 10/30 General Industry DOL card is welcome to attend and will receive their DOL Card. As as high risk industry, tree care provides an outstanding lens to view and learn about safety.

OSHA 10 is designed as a voluntary program for entry-level workers. However, many employers, clients and government agencies require workers to earn an OSHA 10 card before starting work. OSHA Outreach Training courses are an excellent addition to any company training program and go a long way towards laying a foundation for a strong safety and “speak up” culture.
Successful graduates desiring career enhancement training for supervisory roles will have an opportunity to upgrade to OSHA 30 by completing an additional 20 hours of training (certain restrictions apply.) Maximum attendance is 40 people.

The 30-hour safety course provides a greater variety of safety subjects and in-depth, industry-specific training and is intended for supervisors and workers with safety and health responsibility.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: I purchased the OSHA 10 and decided I want to upgrade and take the additional 20 hours for the OSHA 30. What do I do?
Answer: For the upgrade course on 25-27 September, contact Academy Trained and you will be sent a link to register and upgrade. For future course dates, please contact the instructor directly, check your email for announcements, and visit academy-trained.com to see current and future course offerings.
Question: I already have my OSHA 10, can I just attend the 20 hour upgrade?
Answer: No. OSHA has strict rules and upgrades can only be conducted by the same instructor and must be completed within 6 months of the OSHA 10 start date.
Question: I already have my OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, why should I attend this course?
Answer: Although OSHA 10/30 courses do not expire, an employer or client company may have recency requirements such as completion within 3 or 5 years.
Question: OSHA 10 and 30 are not required, why would I take them?
